We use analytical cookies to collect data about site visitors’ behaviors and patterns on our site in aggregate. This includes information like how long users spend on each page and how they discovered our site. We use this data to analyze site performance and make improvements.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect their name, email, website URL, IP address, and browser user agent string. We collect names and emails to identify commenters. IP addresses and user agent strings are collected for spam detection purposes.

If you fill out a contact form on our site, we’ll collect your name, email address, and message. We use this information to respond to your message.

The personal information we collect is used to identify commenters, contact form submitters, monitor site traffic patterns, and improve our website. We do not publicly display or share personal information provided to us.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Who we share your data with

We don’t share any personal information publicly or with third parties. The only exception would be if we were legally compelled to disclose your personal information.

How long we retain your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

We store all your personal information on servers located in the United States. However, your information may be processed or stored in any country where we have facilities or in which we engage service providers, and by using our services you consent to the transfer of information to countries outside of your country of residence, including to countries which may not have the same data protection laws as your jurisdiction.
